RIA E100 is an educational mobile base platform from GaiTech Robotics. It is powered by ROS and made of aluminum alloy structure which can withstand upto 50kg and thus allowing user to extend their research by integrating sensors and manipulators which can easily powered with its heavy battery power backup from user power ports. It mainly comes with two versions BASIC and ELITE. Basic version is configured with single board computer which is compatable for applications like navigation. Elite version is configured with I5 processor (typical computer) which is mainly for advance applications.It is quite modular and wide enough to allow user to extend their research with advanced integration methods.
RIA E100 architecture has been designed mainly for academic level where it can be used by users from computer science working with high level control system and also from Embedded or electronics department working with low level control system.
- At High level control it has been segregated keeping users to use at beginner level (out of the box use with web based GUI), Intermediate level (users can work with pre-configured ROS based navigation setup) and Advance level (where users can use applications based on Deep learning, IOT, Computer vision).
- At low level control, RIA E100 also comes with embedded development setup (a setup where motors can be controlled by additional embedded board fixed over E100) where users are allowed to work completely at low level control system . Just like high level control system it has been segregated keeping users to use at beginner level(out of box use with Mobile APP), Intermediate level (users can work with pre-configure programs based on embedded C language) and at advanced level(where users can write and implement their own applications using sensor integrations).
